The 15th EU-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee (PCC) met in Brussels on January 31, with Atidzhe Alieva-Veli, Vice Chair of the European Parliament's Central Asia Delegation, and Akmal Saidov, Head of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan in attendance.
Since the 14th PCC in Tashkent in 2018, participants examined the political situation in Uzbekistan as well as the general bilateral relations between the European Parliament and Uzbekistan.
The following topics were discussed ; t he impact of the covid, as well as the health and economic responses, as well as educational cooperation. The Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA), as well as EU-Uzbekistan trade and economic connections, market access, and technical cooperation, were highlighted.
