National Center of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (NCHR) hosted a meeting with heads of diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad.
First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Director of the National Center for Human Rights Akmal Saidov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farkhod Arziyev addressed the meeting.
Activities carried out this year within the framework of Uzbekistan's membership in the UN Human Rights Council, the implementation of tasks arising from the country's international obligations, and the planned international events in human rights in 2022 were announced at the event.
The main attention was paid to the content of the ongoing reforms in human rights development in Uzbekistan, as well as the issue of regularly informing the public about significant achievements in this direction. The role of the embassies of Uzbekistan in interpreting and promoting the human rights policy of New Uzbekistan as a unique regional and international model was emphasized.
The role of diplomatic missions in the effective implementation of international initiatives by Uzbekistan in human rights, the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of our compatriots abroad, the development of human rights relations with foreign countries was noted.
