Uzbekistan delegation led by the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Director of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights Akmal Saidov, is taking part in the 15th meeting of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee “Uzbekistan – European Union”, in Brussels.

According to the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, Akmal Saidov held meetings with representatives of the European media, the cultural and humanitarian sphere. A meeting was held with the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of the Diplomatic World magazine, Barbara Dietrich.

Akmal Saidov informed about the essence and significance of the “New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026” approved by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Barbara Dietrich noted the importance of realizing human rights, especially women’s rights. An agreement was reached to publish an article on the Development Strategy of the new Uzbekistan in the next issue of the Diplomatic World.

At a meeting with Project Manager of the Diplomatic World Institute Alberto Turkstra, attention was paid to the importance of the tasks outlined in the Development Strategy to improve public authorities. In his opinion, the achievement of reasonable goals, of course, will lead to an increase in the well-being of the population.
