Meeting with Poland Parliament members

Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Saidov met with members of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland led by the Chairman of Poland – Uzbekistan Inter-Parliamentary Group Pavel Beida.

The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, including in human rights. Mutual interest was expressed in intensifying interaction in this direction.

During the dialogue with members of the Poland Parliament, the results of the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years to ensure human dignity, rights and legitimate interests were considered in detail.

The delegation was informed about the summit of women leaders of the parliaments of member states of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Uzbekistan in September this year.

The guests noted that long-term relations have been established between the leading higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Poland, and this is of particular importance in the development of cooperation in education.
