The National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, pursuant to paragraph 12 of the Road Map for implementation of the National Strategy for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by Presidential Decree PD-6012 of June 22, 2020,  "On equality and non-discrimination" bill has been drafted.

The bill provides the introduction of the concepts of "discrimination", "direct, indirect and multiple discrimination", "signs of discrimination", ensuring full protection of citizens from possible discrimination in various spheres of public life, regardless of their race, gender, language, religion, political beliefs, national or social origin, property, class or other status, improving methods and means of protecting citizens' rights, as well as introducing an effective mechanism for protecting citizens' rights and freedoms.
