At the meeting, the participants noted that in the conditions when relations between the Turkic-speaking countries are developing in all directions, it is in the interests of the fraternal peoples to bring cooperation between national human rights institutions to a new level. It was also noted that this structure will serve as a platform for the mutual exchange of experience, training, borrowing advanced foreign experience.
Following the negotiations, the Ombudsmen of Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum on the establishment of the Association of ombudsmen and national human rights institutions of turkic states.
The founding of the Association is a historic decision that is of great importance for ensuring the unity and consistent development of the Turkic-speaking states.
