TASHKENT, March 14. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, Volker Turk positively assessed the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, including those aimed at ensuring the rights and interests of people, and improving their well-being. The High Commissioner was informed about the constitutional reform launched recently in Uzbekistan.

The parties also considered issues of further intensification of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN institutions in the field of human rights.
