Combating torture: International practice and national experience

Bukhara hosted training courses “Combating torture: International practice and national experience”.

The event was organized at the initiative of the National Center for Human Rights, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It was attended by leaders and teachers of the Law Enforcement Academy, the Institute of State and Law, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Prosecutor’s office of Bukhara region, as well as employees of the internal affairs system.

At the event, information was provided on the purpose of the resolution to nominate a new version of the Constitution for a referendum, on increasing the number of articles of the Constitution of Uzbekistan from 128 to 155, and norms – from 275 to 434, introducing conceptual changes to 91 out of 128 articles.

Participants of the two-day training course received certificates.
