Uzbekistan delegation, consisting of representatives of the Oliy Majlis, held meetings with representatives of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.

During the visit, a roundtable discussion was organized on “A new look at the prospects for deepening dialogue and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Parliament”.

The event was attended by about 30 members of the European Parliament, as well as political advisers from various parliamentary factions.

The participants were informed about the main directions of the New Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy and the essence and significance of the renewed Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Views on priority areas of multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation with the European Union were exchanged.

Members of the European Parliament noted that they are well aware of the changes in Uzbekistan in recent years and support the ongoing democratic reforms.

As part of the visit, a presentation of the book by the President of the Diplomatic Circle of Geneva Robert Blum “Uzbekistan: the Pearl of Central Asia” took place.
